Ma Boyle’s voted Liverpool’s best brunch for students, with Tempest on Tithebarn number six in the top ten.
It’s a tremendous accolade for the intimate and historic hideaway, tucked away down Water Street and nestled by the beautiful St Nick’s church gardens.
Ma Boyle’s Alehouse and Eatery reached its 150th birthday in 2020, a truly historic venue which is one of the city’s most-loved for social get-togethers. It caters from early breakfasts and late diners to liquid lunchers and brilliant bistro dishes, all complimented by a wonderful range of beverages and irresistible cocktails.
And in a lovely addition, its sister venue, Tempest on Tithebarn, has been noted number 6 by the city’s student population in the same survey; it pays homage to New York’s meatpacking district eateries, focusing heavily on brunches, lunches, cocktails and craft beer.
Iain Hoskins from Ma Pub Group says:
“This is fabulous news for all of the hard work my teams have put in at Ma Boyle’s and Tempest – to make no.6 after less than being open for a year with Tempest is fabulous, and for Ma’s to be voted the best in Liverpool is even better. It’s great that we have so many students coming for our brunches and they are a very valued part of our diverse customer base – we strive for an inclusive appeal and that really shows in who comes through our doors day in, day out.”
Iain has just announced he is opening a third Ma Pub Group venue, Nova Scotia in the Mann Island building, in May. The Bottomless Brunch Student Report from the UK’s leading bottomless brunch platform bottomlessbrunch.com takes a seed list of 15 of the top 40 locations with the largest student population in the UK. Each venue offering a bottomless brunch option has then been ranked according to ten different factors to find an average city score, determining the best student locations for bottomless brunches.
