Natalie Shilton, or better known to us all as ‘That Nakery Girl’ is a true advocate for health and wellness within the Liverpool City Region.
From early days studying psychology, Natalie realised her true calling in life was putting her passion into practice and its fair to say she has hit the ground running.
We caught up with the Amazing brains behind the brand to find out more about her new venture, Nakey Skin.
Natalie tells us:
Since 2015 The Nakery has been catalyst for me to start living a more conscious lifestyle.
I’m all about self-empowerment and knowing exactly what you are putting in and on your body. I am super passionate about plants and herbs and this is what made me fall in love with natural skincare. Since I started on my quest to transform my lifestyle, I’ve had so many messages from my followers asking for natural product recommendations.
I told people to use fruit peels such as banana and mango to rub on their skin and since I’ve had about 100 people tag me in posts of them rubbing fruit peel on their face! Its amazing! It just shows that the best skin foods are found growing on earth, not in branded glossy bottles with expensive claims. Simple, natural and organic produce is all we need to get our glow.
Recently, I’ve started making my own skincare made from 100% natural and organic ingredients and I wanted to empower my followers to do the same. It’s a great way to nourish our skin and re-connect with mother nature by showing our gratitude for all of the amazing plants and herbs all around us!
Nakery Skin is based around DIY skincare kits that you can make yourself at home. You order the kit from my site (link below) and it comes with each ingredient pre-measured with an instructions sheet so all you have to do is mix and use it fresh! I will be posting an IGTV video for each kit discussing the benefits of each ingredient and a full tutorial.
I decided to start with facemasks, because who doesn’t love a good facemask?! The organic cacao and rose DIY facemask kit sold out within just ONE HOUR! I am so overwhelmed by the support everyone has shown me. Im very grateful to have the platform that I have and to be able to share my journey.
In the future I hope to bring lots of different ‘conscious’ products out and maybe even collaborate with other local businesses that I believe in.
