Hundreds of girls and women are set to come together in Liverpool this weekend for a huge celebration marking the first birthday of Scouse Girl Social.
The popular initiative will celebrate turning one with a special birthday event at BOXPARK Liverpool on Sunday, 11 October, bringing together girls, friends, mums, aunties and nans for a day dedicated to confidence, inspiration and celebrating what it means to be a Scouse girl.

Created by local businesswomen Nic Byrne, Sarah Worsley and Francesca Kearns, Scouse Girl Social has reached thousands of girls across Merseyside and beyond during its first year.
The trio, who are behind Girls With Dreams Club, have spent the past 12 months organising events, workshops and social experiences designed to nurture, support and encourage girls aged 10 and over.
The first birthday celebration is now close to selling out, with a packed programme of fashion shows, live performances, workshops, shopping, entertainment and special guests planned throughout the day.
Francesca Kearns, founder of Francesca Couture, said:
“Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or this will be your very first Scouse Girl Social, we want you to walk through those doors and feel like you’re part of it.
“It’s going to be a full day of trying something new, meeting people, celebrating individuality and, most importantly, having fun.
“We want every girl who comes to Scouse Girl Social to leave feeling more confident, more inspired and more proud of exactly who she is.”
One of the highlights will be a special panel featuring three inspirational women who will share their experiences and answer questions from the audience.
Taking part will be self-made millionaire and leading businesswoman Kate Stewart; renowned hairdresser and content creator Alix Scott, known as the Scouse Blow Dry Queen; and BAFTA award-winning Liverpool actress Christine Tremarco.
Guests will also have the opportunity to meet the three panellists during a special meet-and-greet.

Kate Stewart said:
“Empowering women, especially young women, means so much to me because I know how powerful it is when someone makes you believe that more is possible for your life.
“I’ve built businesses, faced setbacks, started again and had plenty of doors shut in my face along the way.
“At Scouse Girl Social I want to talk about resilience, confidence, financial independence and having the courage to back yourself, even when nobody else does.
“If sharing my journey can make just one young woman walk away believing she can build the life she wants, that would mean the world to me.”

Music and entertainment will continue throughout the event, with a live DJ and performances from Rain Castillo and Bethany Webster.
A series of workshops will give guests the chance to get involved and try something new, while a shopping area will feature a mixture of major names and independent local businesses.
Brands attending include Lush and Charlotte Tilbury alongside local names Reva, Blanca Sport, LipFix Cosmetics and Nishki, with stalls offering fashion, jewellery, bags, charms, make-up, skincare and more.
The birthday celebration marks a major milestone for Scouse Girl Social following a year of events aimed at creating a positive community where young women can make friends, build confidence and celebrate their individuality.
Tickets for the Scouse Girl Social first birthday event at BOXPARK Liverpool on Sunday, 11 October are priced at £20 and are available here.
