This Christmas, get into the festive spirit by visiting Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, which will be illuminated with over one million twinkling lights, highlighting festive menus, one-of-a-kind gifts, and world-class attractions.
The dock, which fills evenings with light, has undergone a makeover as beloved installations return. Capture the Christmas magic with a plethora of selfie opportunities for the ultimate festive photo while strolling along the waterfront with mulled wine or hot chocolate.
Explore the estate to see a variety of characters, including nautical artworks and characters from the coat of arms of Liverpool. An immersive yellow submarine shines brightly in Britannia Courtyard, ready for families and couples to snap a photo alongside John, Paul, George, and Ringo, providing the perfect backdrop for Beatles fans. Visitors will also notice Neptune and Triton standing tall at the entrance, as well as a stunning jellyfish duo in front of the Martin Luther King Jr. Building. Bertie and Bella, the Liver Birds, reclaim their positions in Anchor Courtyard and on Gower Street.
As the festive season approaches, the dock will host choir performances from across the North West throughout December. The Liverpool Indie Choir will perform Christmas classics with a twist on December 2nd, with more to be announced.
A trip to the dock would be incomplete without a festive feast. Madre’s spiced turkey tacos with cranberry salsa, Maray’s crispy sprouts with chestnut tahini, and Lunyalita’s massive street food Christmas pintxos platters with Catalan pigs in blankets are all great options for traditional indulgence with a twist. Cocktails aplenty include reminiscent flavours of After Eight chocolates with The After One from The One O’Clock Gun and a Fireside Old Fashioned from Gusto featuring spiced rum and mulled spice syrup.
Ho ho home to a variety of independent retailers selling beautiful gifts, finish your Christmas shopping at Liverpool’s waterfront with Nature’s Treasures’ jewellery and crystals and Liverpool Pictures’ scenic panorama prints. Take home a colourful Lambanana from With Love From Liverpool, vibrant wooden toy cars from The Nest, or a limited-edition hoodie from Lost Soles as a souvenir.
Stay shop and explore at Royal Albert Dock this festive season, from taking Christmas selfies and feasting with friends to a ‘win Christmas’ competition launching in December.
