Places to dine in Liverpool for Veganuary

January marks the month for Veganuary, and Liverpool is full of delightful venues to inspire you to go vegan this month.

With the Veganuary 31-day challenge supported by more than one million people across 192 countries, are you ready to adopt a plant-based lifestyle?

To help you be successful with the challenge, we have put together places across Liverpool that serve vegan dishes.

Gran Caffè

78 Duke Street, Liverpool L1 5AA

Gran Caffe has a selection of vegan cakes, and sweet croissants and savoury options including avocado and cherry tomato croissants and salads.

Their vegan cake jars are incredibly popular and include Lotus, Red Velvet and Oreo. 

Sanskruti

Bixteth Street, Liverpool L3 9LP

The restaurant serves up some authentic delicious dishes, with varied and more flavour that you can shake a stick at, enjoy Chaat dishes, Khandvi, and vegan naans until your heart is content and your belly is full.

Botanico

Botanico has a new Vegan menu for Veganuary which includes fresh juices, breakfast and brunch dishes and pizza and pasta options too!

When it comes to Breakfast and Brunch options, Botanico’s Vegan Fry Up which includes smashed avocado, scrambled tofu, grilled tomato, portobello mushroom, two vegan sausages, roasted peppers, hash browns and baked beans is sure to be popular, or there’s also vegan wild mushrooms served with cherry tomatoes and spinach or vegan avocado on sourdough served with cherry tomatoes, green salsa and beetroot hummus, or Botanico’s homemade granola bowl served with vegan yogurt and berries.

Desserts at Botanico are made fresh, in-house each day and always sell out! Vegan options include the Lotus jar, vegan chocolate brownie and vegan carrot cake.

Nude Liverpool

Whether you indulge in a Nude Full English, Peanut & banana on toasted bloomer or you try out one of Nude’s build your own bagel options, its certain to say breakfast has never looked so good.

Mowgli

If you’re looking for a bit of fine dining while taking part in Veganuary then Indian Street food restaurant, Mowgli is one to add to your list.

With options such as their popular chip butty and chickpea curry, Mowgli gives you the chance to try plenty with their tapas sized dishes while dining plant-based.

Down The Hatch

Try junk food Vegan style at Duke Street’s hidden gem Down The Hatch.

Wrapping and stacking everything from small bites to Sunday roasts, the venue is one to try while on your Veganuary journey this month.

From double fried oyster mushroom wings coated in hot buffalo sauce, home cooked Sweet & Sour roasted Jackfruit with Basmati rice to Mac & Cheese, junk food never looked so good!

The Vibe

Chancery House, Paradise Street, Liverpool

Celebrate Veganuary this January at Paradise Street’s Plant-based cafe, The Vibe Liverpool.

Open 7 days a week, head on down and get tucked into one of their Homemade BBQ Brisket with a Texas BBQ rub and tangy sticky sauce, stacked on a brioche bun with mustard, fresh greens, fermented slaw and potato bites!

If you still got that sweet tooth from the Christmas goodies, you can also treat yourself to a delicious plant powered bake, with flavours such as Super Strawberry, Red Velvet, Oreo VS Biscoff, Toffee Apple, Carrot Cake and much more.

Maray 

Bold Street, Royal Albert Dock & Allerton

Maray are welcoming back their Green January offer to coincide with Veganuary this month.

To celebrate their love for vegetables Maray are offering 50% OFF all veggie/vegan plates from Monday-Thursday throughout January, which means you get to kickstart your vegan challenge half the price!
