A vibrant new mural celebrating the people, places and stories of Halewood has now been completed, bringing a splash of colour and community pride to the heart of the neighbourhood.
Commissioned by Knowsley Council and created by award-winning character designer and cartoon illustrator Stuart Harrison, the large-scale hand-painted mural is located at 16 Camberley Drive.
The artwork captures the unique identity of Halewood, weaving together its rich history, notable individuals, and well-loved landmarks into a bold and engaging design.
Now complete, the finished piece stands as a striking visual tribute to the area and its people.
Weaving Industrial Giants and Global Pop Royalty into Suburban Streets

The design was shaped by extensive community input, following a consultation day in September 2025.
Local residents were invited to meet the artist, explore examples of his previous work, and share their own ideas about what makes Halewood special.
From personal memories and historical moments to local icons and hidden gems, the contributions helped inform every aspect of the final artwork.
The result is a bright, detailed and playful mural that reflects the pride and identity of the Halewood community.
It features recognisable local landmarks such as Jaguar Land Rover, which has long played a vital role in the area’s economy, and landmarks connected to Halewood’s industrial and social history.
The mural also celebrates cultural connections, including references to The Beatles, as well as nods to local green spaces and community hubs that are central to everyday life in Halewood.
The completed mural is now open for everyone to view and enjoy, offering both residents and visitors an opportunity to discover more about Halewood’s past and present through art.
Thank you to Riverside Housing who own the building at 16 Camberley Drive, where the mural is painted.
