Liverpool Philharmonic Hall has announced the launch of their new exclusive 1840 Lounge.

Liverpool Philharmonic is the city’s premiere music venue and reaches more people than any other music organisation outside London. At the heart of Liverpool Philharmonic is the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the UK’s oldest professional symphony orchestra. The historic, art deco Philharmonic Hall is one of the UK’s leading concert halls and together with the intimate Music Room venue presents around 400 diverse concerts and events each year from classical, rock, pop, folk and jazz concerts, to comedy, film and spoken word.

Liverpool Philharmonic Hall unveils exclusive 1840 Lounge experience

With an Art Deco-inspired ambiance, the 1840 Lounge offers audiences an exclusive pre-show and interval retreat, perfectly complementing the world-class performances held in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Guests can indulge in a carefully curated selection of premium beverages, including:

  • Bespoke cocktails from award-winning local mixologists, Berry & Rye
  • A refined selection of wines and premium spirits
  • Craft beers and artisanal soft drinks
  • Prestigious Perrier-Jouët champagnes

Designed to elevate the concert-going experience, the lounge will open its doors one hour before each performance, allowing ample time for patrons to savour their drinks and soak in the atmosphere. A dedicated host will greet guests and escort them to private tables, where they can enjoy full table service throughout their visit.

Danielle Youds, Head of Food and Beverages at Liverpool Philharmonic, said:

“We are delighted to welcome guests to our intimate 1840 Lounge, which not only celebrates our rich musical history but also offers an enhanced drinks selection. Guests will enjoy table service, a broad wine list to choose from, and cocktails from our award-winning neighbours, Berry & Rye. It’s perfect for guests celebrating a special occasion or for those wanting a relaxed and elevated experience. Our team can’t wait to host you.”

The 1840 Lounge is available for audiences attending an event at Philharmonic Hall. Access can be purchased alongside tickets online or by calling the Box Office. Open an hour before each performance and during the interval, the 1840 Lounge costs just £25 minimum spend per person, which is redeemable against your bill on the night.

Access to the 1840 Lounge is strictly for those over 18 only. Ahead of Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra concerts, the 1840 Lounge will be open exclusively for our Members and therefore unavailable to book.
