Liverpool ONE prepare to welcome back visitors ahead of re-opening

Liverpool ONE has today launched a programme of work ahead of it re-opening on April 12th in a bid to inspire its teams to achieve even higher standards.

Already recognised as one of the most well-kept areas in the city, the estate is undergoing an extensive programme of deep cleaning, made more accessible by the absence of visitors during lockdown.

High tech machinery has been brought in to give the retail and leisure destination a face-lift.

The team is taking advantage of being closed and as the countdown now begins to a definite re-opening date, it is using this time to under-take an intensive deep clean.

Donna Howitt, Place Strategy Director, said:

“We have extensive routine deep cleaning in place all year round. But with being in lockdown and the estate being virtually empty, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do all of those non-essential jobs and go above and beyond, raising our standards even higher!

“We are delighted we now have a time-frame to work to and cannot wait to welcome back visitors on April 12th.

“In the meantime, we have a programme of work taking place in the weeks leading up to the 12th, to ensure the estate looks its very best when we re-open.”

The work involves a deep clean of all areas making the estate an even more beautiful place to visit as we approach the milder months.

Specialist equipment and cleaning products are also being used to ensure all of the glass, whether lifts or glass balustrades, are all given some tender loving care to really bring the best out of such a wonderful retail environment.

Donna added:

“We pride ourselves in giving our visitors the very best experience when they arrive at Liverpool ONE.

“We believe the work which we are doing now will really enhance everyone’s visit. With our open-air atmosphere and wide streets, we are hopeful that we will be able to provide something really special this summer, where people still feel safe but back to as near normal as possible.”

The team is also planning various options for the return of some of the most popular enlivenment events which Liverpool ONE has become famous for.
