Liverpool John Lennon Airport has once again been ranked among the best airports in the UK in the latest annual Which? airport survey.
The airport has been named a Which? Recommended Provider for the fifth consecutive year and finished second overall, just behind Exeter Airport.
Liverpool also ranked ahead of every other large UK airport included in the survey, which assessed passenger experiences across 27 UK airports and terminals.
Earlier this year, Which? surveyed almost 6,000 passengers about journeys they had made through UK airports during the previous 12 months.
Passengers were asked to rate airports across eight categories, including customer service, check-in and security queues, cleanliness, baggage collection, availability of seating and food and drink.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport achieved the second-highest customer score in the survey at 78%.
It received five-star ratings for check-in and security queues, as well as cleanliness, with Which? describing Liverpool as “the very best airport in the North West”.
The recognition comes as passenger numbers at Liverpool continue to grow, with increasing numbers of travellers from across the North West and North Wales choosing to fly from the airport.
