Knowsley to host biggest fan park in North West for Euro 2020

Knowsley to host the North West’s biggest football fan park for Euro 2020 this summer.

The fan park will be located on the Knowsley Estate and will have three giant screens, a mega sound and lighting system plus a fully-stocked bar for 1,000 people to watch England take on Scotland on June 18.

Knowsley to host biggest fan park in North West for Euro 2020

Kick-off is set for 8pm at Wembley Stadium and will be the Three Lions’ second match of the tournament.

Organisers are promising a “big game atmosphere” and a free beer, cider, house spirit and mixer or soft drink with each ticket starting at just £5.50.

Live music will be played on the night before and after the historic match with a huge build up also taking place underneath a giant big top tent as doors open at 5pm.

Danny Thompson, co-founder of The Knowsley Social, said:

“The atmosphere here is set to be unrivalled anywhere in the North West and will be as close to the real thing as you can get.

“We’ve already had an unbelievable amount of success with our events and the feedback from people is that they’ve had the absolute best time.

“Our England v Scotland match is going to be no exception and is guaranteed to be the best place to watch the game this summer with special effects, a world-class sound system and the three giant screens.”

The event has been put together by Creamfields supremo Chris Quayle and Mr Thompson, with more than 18,000 tickets already sold for all performances across their festival.

The England v Scotland and England v Czech Republic games will be shown on big screens underneath a blue purpose-built tent structure which holds 1,000 people and is the North West’s biggest event space.

The tent contains 200 socially-distanced pods, sectioned off by white fences, and includes VIP areas for football fans to cheer on England and party the night away.
