INNSiDE by Meliá Liverpool has unveiled a major new exhibition in partnership with dot-art to celebrate the gallery’s 20th anniversary.
Titled TWENTY, the exhibition brings together large-scale works by 20 local artists and is now on display at INNSiDE by Meliá Liverpool.
Since its launch in 2006, dot-art has played a key role in Liverpool City Region’s cultural landscape, championing independent artists and making art accessible to wider audiences.
The anniversary showcase features a mix of long-standing contributors and newer members of the dot-art community, highlighting the breadth and evolution of artistic talent across the region.
Celebrating 20 Years of Supporting Liverpool Artists
TWENTY presents a diverse collection of contemporary fine art, spanning expressive abstraction, detailed landscapes and striking architectural works.
The exhibition reflects a wide range of subject matter, techniques and styles, offering visitors an eclectic insight into the region’s creative scene.
Lucy Byrne, Managing Director at dot-art, said:
“Twenty years ago, we started with a simple belief: art should be for everyone.
“Today, supporting hundreds of artists and reaching thousands of young people annually, we’re incredibly proud of the creative community we’ve built together.
“This exhibition showcases twenty of these artists, some of whom have been with us since the very beginning.
“Our 2026 anniversary year will celebrate not just where we’ve been, but where Liverpool’s artists are going next.”
Art pieces available for purchase

The exhibition forms part of INNSiDE Liverpool’s ongoing collaboration with dot-art, curating rotating exhibitions within the hotel to support local creatives while enhancing the guest experience.
Located on the hotel’s first floor, the gallery space allows guests and visitors to explore the artworks at their own pace.
The initiative reflects INNSiDE’s Stay Curious philosophy, offering travellers a fresh and unexpected cultural experience with every visit.
Featured artists include Nathan Pendlebury, known for his process-led painting and engagement with contemporary exhibition spaces.
Hazel Thomson, whose practice is rooted in a personal connection to nature and Barbara Derecka, an artist and graphic designer inspired by exploration and global cityscapes.
Also exhibiting are Joe Venning, a contemporary painter and muralist whose work is influenced by strong visual culture and community, as well as Lisa James, a self-taught abstract artist from Cheshire whose intuitive style embraces emotion and vulnerability.
Visitors can expect abstract compositions, atmospheric forest scenes, and iconic depictions of Liverpool architecture alongside vibrant neon-inspired pieces.
All artwork in the exhibition is available for purchase, in case any takes your breath away that much that you simply cannot go without it.
