Glesni Pugh – Finalist Student Hut competition

  • November 11, 2019

Liverpool is one breath-taking city to cast your eyes upon whether you’re a tourist, local or student, so when one student of Liverpool was asked to sum up their university and the city in two minutes, we wanted to know more…

Glesni Pugh, a master’s student at The University of Liverpool, who has been studying Bioveterinary Science as an undergrad, decided to put her love of making travel videos to good use and entered a competition run by Student Hut.

The website is a hub for students all across the UK, has been described by the BBC as a Trip Advisor for universities, helping students get more transparency on aspects of University before applying.

Asking students what they would say about their own university in just two minutes to win a trip to New York, Glenis took it upon herself to create a video to promote Liverpool to prospective students, as well as giving a look into student accommodation, a social aspect and something unique about Liverpool.

The video so far has received an amazing response, which has seen her reach to the final round of the competition due to end on Friday 15th November. The person who receives the most views of the video which is available on YouTube wins the trip to New York.

The video which includes clips of the city from May, includes a fantastic insight into the city, with scenes from campus, socialising in popular hotspots and also captures the euphoric Liverpool Champions League Parade.

With the deadline fast approaching we want to help support Glenis receive as many views possible to help her win the prize! If you can take two minutes out of your time to watch the below video.

We wish Glesni the best of luck!
