The first look at the UK and Ireland tour of Mrs. Doubtfire has been revealed ahead of the hit musical comedy arriving at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in March 2027.
The production opened in Birmingham last week to great acclaim, beginning a major tour following its successful runs in the West End and on Broadway.
Gabriel Vick reprises the role of Daniel Hillard after earning acclaim for his performances in the West End production.
He is joined by Kara Lily Hayworth as Miranda Hillard, Aaliya Mai as Lydia Hillard, Ryan Pidgen as Frank Hillard, Jairus McClanahan as Andre Mayem, James Darch as Stuart Dunmire and Samuelle Durojaiye as Wanda Sellner.
The cast also includes Carl Patrick as Mr Jolly/Judge, Kiera Haynes as Janet Lundy and Rhianne Alleyne as Flamenco Singer.
Adam Colbeck-Dunn is the Alternate Daniel Hillard and will take on the role at selected performances during the tour.
The role of Christopher Hillard is shared by Charlie Banks, Alexander Beaumont, Joshua Miles and Dexter Pulling, while Santi Cohen, Harly Gill, Mila Isaacs and Hattie Leddington Wright alternate as Natalie Hillard.
The company is completed by Zac Adlam, Rhona Butler, Joshua Clayton, Abigail Eustis, Amy Louise Everett, Austin Garrett, Cruz-Troy Hunter, Nicholas Leon Jones, D’Mia Lindsay-Walker, Jordan Livesey, Michael Nelson, Lucy May Pollard, Paulo Teixeira and Natalie Thorn.
Based on the much-loved film, Mrs. Doubtfire tells the hilarious and heartfelt story of a father determined to remain part of his children’s lives.
Out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard will do anything for his kids. After losing custody following a difficult divorce, he creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to spend more time with them.
But as his new character begins to take on a life of its own, Daniel discovers more than he bargained for about parenthood, family and what it really means to be a father.
The musical has been created by a transatlantic team of award-winning theatre talent.
Original music and lyrics are by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell.
The production is directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Lorin Latarro and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.
Scenic design is by David Korins, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Philip S. Rosenberg and sound design by Gareth Owen.
Hair and wigs are designed by Sam Cox, with make-up designs by Craig Forrest-Thomas. Casting is by Stuart Burt, with Verity Naughton serving as Children’s Casting Director.
Mrs. Doubtfire is produced by Kevin McCollum and Jamie Wilson and presented by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical.
The production will arrive at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in March 2027 as part of its UK and Ireland tour.
