Liverpool Food Network members are celebrating this month after a host of exciting announcements!

Smithdown Road’s healthiest fast-food concept Picnic were chosen as the North-West finalists for the UberEats Restaurant of the Year awards, participating in a cook-off judged by Bake Off star Prue Leith.

“We want to give a massive thank you to everyone who voted for us, and an extra big thank you to our amazing team who delivery your favourite meals day in day out. We’re absolutely humbled to have been voted this far and are looking forward to the award ceremony on August 25th!” – Picnic founders Sam & Lauren.

Vegan Sushi makers CBSushi are also celebrating good new with the announcement of a month-long pop-up store in Manchester’s Ancoats General Store later this year.

“We are delighted to be heading to Manchester this October to spend a month in the heart of the city at Ancoats General Store. We cannot wait to get going, to meet some new faces and hopefully see some old ones too!” – CB Sushi founder Chloe

Finally, Liverpool Food Network members Root2Ginger are celebrating this month after receiving Great Taste awards for their entire product range! Their four natural ginger drinks picked up a massive eight stars in total, including the coveted 3-star award for their Spiced Ginger.

“I’m just so amazed that the judges loved our products. Having made ginger drinks for over 25 years it’s wonderful to have these stars for doing something we’re so passionate about, and it’s fantastic to see our family traditions continue!” – Root2Ginger founder Deanne

Liverpool Food Network was established in 2021 to give hospitality and food producers access to a network of peers and professional advisors and is open to all businesses in the region.

“We’re so proud of all of our members, and seeing them recognised outside of our region and at a national level is just fantastic. I started Liverpool Food Network to help businesses connect, develop and grow and that’s exactly what we’re seeing now. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for all of our members!” – Liverpool Food Network founder Louise
