In our latest edition of highlighting the people of Liverpool, we are focusing on the content creators of Merseyside.

No matter what you post or what following you have, we at Explore Liverpool are sharing the stories of the many content creators around Merseyside.

In our most recent edition, we spoke to Lois Yvonne from Walton, who is a singer-songwriter who posts on TikTok.

What content do you post, and when did you start?

I post music content mostly originals I’ve written, and I started around 8 months ago, however only took it seriously 8 weeks ago!

What inspired you to start content creation?

Being able to play guitar and piano inspired me to start posting, as I wanted to share my talent with the world and find like-minded people! Also, what inspired me was my uncle Phil, who’s a Musician and producer, and he believed in the dream long before I did.

How did your first-ever video go, and how did you feel?

My first ever video was nerve-racking, I wouldn’t even put my face in shot! I was so scared about being judged at first!

What bit of advice would you give someone who wants to showcase themselves on social media?

Let go of every bit of anxiety when it comes to chasing your dreams, you miss every chance you don’t take! We only get one go at this crazy life, make it worthwhile!

How has being from Liverpool shaped your content creation?

Being from Liverpool has given me the biggest push to let go of any doubt!

Scousers are simply the most supportive people ever, and it has completely restored my faith in humanity, the amount of support from strangers in the city!

What has been your favourite encounter in Liverpool whilst doing your content?

My favourite encounter has been making friends for life in the music industry it has led to an immense amount of opportunities!

Your funniest moment that you still look back on with a smile?

My funniest moment on TikTok will always be a video of me literally pulling a plug out of my sink with tongs and getting 3.6 million views, and everyone in the comments trying to give me a dozen other ways of how I should have handled the overflowing sink situation!

What has been your biggest achievement so far?

My biggest achievement by far is getting to the Primal Live final with 2 original songs I wrote myself! Primal Live is the biggest UK-based music competition that takes place across multiple cities, truly life-changing! It consists of 8 workshops to build you up as an artist, and then you go head-to-head!

Your personal pinch-me moment during your journey?

The biggest pinch me moment would be spending most of my time in the studio recording my album, coming out at the end of summer!

Why should people watch your content?

People should watch my content as I’m just a young girl with a dream trying to make the most of this crazy, unpredictable life!! I hope my content pushes people to do the same and not hold back!

What is your dream for the future?

My dream is to build a community around me of like-minded people and take to the stage, selling out arenas, playing and singing my very own songs!
