Allerton Hall Market returns this weekend

Allerton Hall Market, one of Liverpool’s most popular markets, is getting ready to make its first appearance of 2025 this weekend.

With the sun set to shine, the market will be open for business on Saturday, 3 May – and the event will also mark the tenth time that the stalls will be set up in Clarke Gardens.

Allerton Hall Market returns this weekend

About 25 traders will be outside the Allerton Hall Pub from 11am-4pm, selling plants, cheese, gluten-free products, bakery, artworks, pet products and much, much more.

Allerton Hall Market is just one of the farmer’s and craft markets that now take place in Liverpool, with others being held regularly on Lake Lane and Allerton Road, and in Woolton Village.

For the full programme of the city’s markets, which takes place both seasonally and throughout the year, visit the Markets page on the council’s website.

There will be a second Allerton Hall Market held later this summer on Saturday 30 August.

Cllr Harry Doyle, Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing, said:

“The sun will be out this weekend and it’s great that the traders will be setting up their stalls once again in Clarke Gardens.

“The continued success of our markets shows that Liverpool loves shopping locally. It’s great for local businesses, great for the environment and great for the shoppers who get to browse fantastic produce in a wonderful atmosphere.

“The fact that this is the tenth time the market will be held is a tribute to the commitment of the traders and ward councillor Kimberley Berry as well as the council’s markets team, and, of course, the customers who make the markets the special places that they are.

“If you’re a regular market shopper – thank you. If you’ve not been yet, get out to Clarke Gardens this Saturday and see what you’ve been missing!”

Councillor for Springwood ward Kimberley Berry said:

“After arranging the inaugural market outside Allerton Hall, I’m really pleased it’s returning for its tenth appearance.

“On Saturday I’ll be welcoming returning traders and some new faces, each of whom will be bringing some great local produce and offers for local residents. The weather looks promising on the day so do pop down if you get the chance.”

First-time trader Carol, of Carmatara Jewellery, said:

“I’m so excited to be joining lots of fabulous stalls at Allerton Hall Market this Saturday. I’ll be bringing a large selection of costume and sterling silver jewellery to suit all ages and price ranges.

“It’s such a great setting, particularly with accessible car parking, so stop by, have a browse and say hello!”
