Bowring Park have added another Merseyside sports star to those attending on the day.
The event is designed to create a free opportunity Merseyside kids to get active throughout the summer.
With the British Open taking place in Liverpool this year, Bowring Park and Golf Course hopes this can inspire more youngsters to get into the sport and become future stars in their sport.
To offer some inspiration, Bowring has invited Merseyside athletes who have been at the top of their sport, including boxing World Champion, Natasha Jonas, Taekwondo World Champion and Olympic Bianca Walkden, and former Everton Women Captain Michelle Hinnigan. They will be there to take photos, speak to the kids who attend, and also try their hand at golf!
It takes place on Thursday 20th July from 10am-1pm and attendees simply have to register to attend for free here.
Helen Paton, Development Manager at Bowring Park, said:
“This is a golden opportunity for Merseyside kids to embrace an active summer, discover their passion for golf, and unlock their potential as future stars.
“We’re thrilled to welcome renowned Merseyside athletes, including boxing World Champion Natasha Jonas, Taekwondo World Champion and Olympic star Bianca Walkden, and former Everton Women Captain Michelle Hinnigan, who we know will inspire and connect with the young talents who attend, sharing their experiences and even try their hand at golf.
“We’re hoping to embrace the power of sport to really inspire more future talent in Liverpool.”
Equipment will be provided on the day.
