Concert Square announces full Eurovision Lineup

Concert Square will be introducing the biggest party programme seen on the square yet! As most of Europe descends on Liverpool this May.

MODO & Soho have both joined forces to offer a spectacular trio of dates which will celebrate the infamous Eurovision spirit in style.

The city’s most famous nightlife hotspot is calling on all party people as the square will be transformed over three weekends with live music and dazzling production at Concert Square, offering a feast of colour, fun, and energy.

The massive party will be held on Bank Holiday Sunday 30th AprilBank Holiday Sunday 7th May and the Eurovision Final on Saturday 13th May. Events are FREE and run from 2pm – 10pm with a host of live entertainment.

Get ready for an all out ABBA-thon, as the iconic band’s leading tribute, ABBA Forever performs on each of the three dates, with all the best sing-along disco anthems and guilty-pleasures that are sure to have you dancing along with hands in the air!

Quoted as “The Next Best” to the original ABBA by Scandinavia’s leading music television channel NRK, this group has entertained audiences all over the world, from large outdoor festivals for 50,000 revellers, to concert tours and live televised broadcasts. Performing first as a four-piece on the two Bank Holiday dates, guests can experience their full 7-piece Live Band with keys, drums and guitar as the ultimate finale on the date of the Eurovision Final on Saturday 13th May – it’s not one to miss!

Forever are joined by a diverse lineup of local Liverpool vocalists, musicians and DJs performing live each weekend – the square is set to showcase the amazing talent from our UNESCO City of Music, artists who are certainly no strangers to the stage.

It all kicks off on Bank Holiday Sunday 30th April from 2pm with the official launch party with a host of brilliant acts. Heading up the date, from appearances at the likes of Reminisce Festival to packed-out club shows with her imitable party brand Show Me Luv, Holly Ellison is an unstoppable force who continues to rise following her successful stint on ITV’s The Voice in 2018. Holly will perform a house-music showcase with Ibiza anthems, backed up by DJ and Live Saxophonist.

She’s joined by a Scouse songstress with unbelievable talent, Jenny Christine who reached the X Factor Live Finals in 2018 with LMA Choir and has since gone on to perform with Robbie Williams and Olly Murs, as well as touring extensively in the UK and abroad. Supporting artists Ryan Rooney and Brooke bring future star-quality to the opening gig – with soulful grooves from local-hero DJ Jimmy Allen.

On Bank Holiday Sunday 7th May; leading the charge is the imitable Dixie Daye, who will get pulses racing with a set list of classic anthems spanning house classics to Disco-diva hits with her hair-raising ability. Dixie is supported by St Helens songstress Kiera Weathers, who wowed judges on X Factor back in 2015 she’s a super-versatile vocalist with a rich and powerful voice.

The brilliant Gary Barker will also appear, he’s a performer with personality and panache to match a diverse style, covering everything from Sinatra and Sam Cooke to party classics for all tastes. Plus DJs Bear Growlsand James Morgan will be holding it down with tasteful selections – they’re some of the city’s best-known audiophiles with rarities and dancefloor gold in abundance.

The jam-packed programme climaxes with Concert Square’s Eurovision Finale on Saturday 13th May from 2pm. Bringing the heat, soulful songstress Kayleigh is joined by the amazing, Shaun Walsh. Both singers are a massive hit at any event, combining a fresh take on seasoned classic tracks – with unique and modern energy.

Fresh from team Will.I.Am from The Voice’s latest edition in 2022 – young talent Rain Castillo brings fresh vocals and acoustic guitar to the stage with a unique urban vibe. Setting the tone for the afternoon and evening, Liverpool Disco Fest DJs & Friends will take charge of spinning dance floor-focussed classic hits to build up the energy for ABBA Forever’s closing set as a full, 7-piece live band.
