BoBo becomes BowBow this Christmas

Popular city centre bar, BoBo is marking the advent of the festive season by gift wrapping their frontage with a giant bow.

BoBo on Castle Street, recently named as runner up best bar in the North of England in the Observer Food Monthly awards, is ushering in Christmas with a bright red Cartier-style bow.

In a street well known for its bars, cafes and restaurants, this unique Iberian venue already stands out with its yellow façade – but is now sure to turn even more heads, as BowBow!

Every year at Christmas the world-renowned Cartier mansion on New York City’s Fifth Avenue is adorned with a giant red ribbon and bow as the city gears up for Christmas.

And as an early Christmas gift BoBo is offering their delectable Iberian-themed bottomless brunch for four people for the ‘Best Shot of BowBow’. Pictures of the lovely little venue taken before December 14th and posted on Instagram and tagged @bobo_liverpool will be in the running for a ‘bob-on’ beautiful BoBo bonanza of free food and drinks.

Steven Burgess, of Lucky Penny Group, owner and operator of BoBo said:

“Massive bows as well as angels, nutcrackers, lights and other festive decor adorn NYC’s most famous buildings and have helped make the city synonymous with the sparkle of Christmas.

“It has been a good year for the bar and we just want to celebrate our success and our BowBow picture competition will help people join in. BoBo is a small venue and decorating in this way will help us and the rest of the street get in the Christmas spirit.

“We wanted to create a big visual impact on Castle Street and the bow and ribbon look great while also giving this old building the respect it deserves.”

Adam Chapman, owner of Aintree-based 4 Season Events, said:

“The last couple of Christmases have been hard for us all and especially in hospitality so it’s time to have some real festive fun. Liverpool always embraces Christmas in a big way and this is an excellent way to help celebrate the best time of year in a genuine party city.

“We specialise in helping businesses, organisations and events make an impact and it’s been a delight to have this ‘big’ opportunity on realising BoBo’s Christmas wish!”

Meanwhile sister venue, Abditory, on the city centre’s Queen Avenue off Castle Street is offering its customers a special Christmas cocktail menu with delicious seasonal flavours:

·       White Christmas: Bailey’s Espresso Martini

·       A Right Royale Snowball: Prosecco, Advocaat, lime, dry sherry, cocoa dust

·       Hot Abdi-toddy: Cognac, lemon, Demerara syrup, cinnamon syrup

·       Terry’s Martini: Grey Goose l’orange, Vermouth, orange & chocolate bitters, Crème de Cacao

It’s also adding to its quirky toasted sandwich menu with a Christmas special. Why wait to the day after Christmas when you can enjoy a ‘Boxing Day’ toastie now? Featuring ham, Brie, cranberry sauce served with black pepper dipping gravy. Also, on Abditory’s Christmas menu is Old School Salmon Gravlax, served with Platsville bread, butter and pickles.
