Delifonseca introduce the perfect gift for Father’s Day

Struggling for ideas of what to treat your dad to this Father’s Day? Why not treat them to a special two-course feast, courtesy of Delifonseca!

The Dockside restaurant and deli has introduced a special 2 course menu that you can heat up and enjoy at home or in the garden.

The main course is served family style, perfect for sharing, and includes  ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ Sticky Beef Ribs with Saffron, Citrus & Prawn Rice, Red Cabbage Slaw, Hasselback Roasties, Tomato & Red Pepper Salsa along with a Green Bean & Griddled Sweetcorn Salad.

For afters, treat your Dad to Delifonseca’s Decadent Chocolate Bread & Butter Pudding spiked with a hint of chilli, orange and nutmeg. For the cheese lovers out there, there’s also the option to add an extra course.

If you’re looking for a unique gift for Father’s Day, Delifonseca’s food hall has it all. Bespoke hampers are available to order directly from the website, including everything from ‘Beer & Bar Snack’ hampers to whisky, brandy or tequila tasting kits.

The star gift is the ‘Desperate Dan Dad’ – a smoky Sichuan peppered, 1 kg sous vide Tomahawk Steak, priced at £40.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said:

“We might be in lockdown, but your Dad still deserves a fuss on his special day. Obviously, our friends at Edge Butchers are supplying the steak, and in this case it’s Galloway and as always, locally bred, reared and matured properly. This beast of a steak will come vac packed having been water-bathed and cooked sous vide to medium-rare perfection. The lucky Dads that get their hands on one will then have just over a week to enjoy it. To prepare, simply open the bag, throw it onto a scorching hot pan to add colour, giving it two minutes each side before placing it into a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees for 12 minutes. You’ll have a perfectly pink Tomahawk Steak which at 1kg, is even enough to share.

“And remember, Father’s Day falls on a Sunday so we’ll be doing our Summer Roasts for take-away along with other menu classics if that’s more up the old man’s street!”

Delifonseca’s Father’s Day two-course menu is priced at £20 per person and is available for collection or delivery to selected Liverpool postcodes. Hampers start from £30 and are available to order online.
