Liverpool’s fitness scene has been given a major boost this week as XF Liverpool officially unveiled its brand-new 30,000 sq. ft fitness and wellbeing centre at St Johns, Liverpool.
Following a £5 million fit-out, the state-of-the-art facility opened its doors on Monday 22 September, with hundreds of new members streaming in to experience the unique XF offering. Visitors were welcomed by the dedicated XF team and treated to a taste of the gym’s high-energy atmosphere, complete with a resident DJ and smoothie bar – both set to become regular features that reflect XF Liverpool’s fresh approach to fitness and wellbeing.
Members at XF Liverpool can enjoy:
- A vast open-plan workout zone with the latest equipment
- A bespoke Hyrox space and strength zone
- An extensive timetable of group classes including spin, yoga, Pilates, boxing and dance
- A luxury spa space featuring saunas, showers, sunbeds and vanity areas
The launch of XF Liverpool also marks another exciting step in the evolution of St Johns Shopping Centre into a community hub for retail, leisure and lifestyle. Already home to big-name brands such as JD Sports, Storm, Aldi, Liverpool FC Store, Sainsbury’s, Home Bargains, Argos and Matalan, the 540,000 sq. ft centre has more recently expanded to include cafes, bars, restaurants, a hotel, and leisure attractions such as Boom Battle Bar – with XF Liverpool now joining its line-up.
Neil Ashcroft, Centre Director at St Johns Shopping Centre, added:
“It’s fantastic to see so many people celebrating the arrival of XF Liverpool. St Johns, always known for its mix of national and local retailers, has become more than a shopping centre. It is a place to meet, to eat, toelax, to be entertained, and now to train and thrive. This opening is another big step in making St Johns Liverpool’s most accessible destination for retail, lifestyle and leisure.”
The new gym occupies the former Wilko unit on the upper mall of St Johns Shopping Centre. XF Liverpool is open Monday to Friday, 5am–11pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 6am–8pm. The venue is easily accessible via Lime Street Station, Queen Square bus station, and the centre’s 625-space car park.
