The world-famous paddle steamer Waverley has added an extra sailing from Liverpool, giving passengers another chance to step aboard the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer during her 80th anniversary year.
The additional cruise will take place on Friday 19 June, following a change in berth availability at Holyhead.
Waverley will depart Liverpool at 9.45am, before setting course for Llandudno, where passengers can spend time ashore exploring the popular Victorian seaside town, its famous promenade, independent shops and local attractions.
Passengers also have the option to remain onboard for a scenic coastal cruise, taking in views of the Great Orme before continuing towards Puffin Island. Those staying on the ship will be able to enjoy the North Wales coastline from Waverley’s open decks and traditional observation lounges.
The extra sailing has been added following strong demand for Waverley’s Liverpool programme, with all other Liverpool departures sold out for several weeks.
Waverley’s General Manager, Paul Semple, said:
“We are delighted to offer this additional sailing from Liverpool at short notice. Demand for our Liverpool cruises has been exceptionally strong this season, and this extra berth availability has given us the opportunity to welcome more passengers aboard.
“Whether passengers choose to enjoy time ashore in Llandudno or stay aboard for the full coastal cruise to Puffin Island, they can look forward to a memorable day out aboard this unique historic vessel.”
The sailing offers a rare opportunity to experience a journey aboard one of Britain’s most treasured historic vessels, as Waverley marks 80 years since her launch.
