The Prodigy have been announced as the first headliner for Creamfields 2027 as the iconic dance festival prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The legendary electronic act will make their long-awaited return to Creamfields after 14 years, headlining the APEX stage on Saturday 28 August 2027 during the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The announcement comes as Creamfields begins plans for a landmark edition of the festival, which will mark 30 years since the event first launched in 1998.
The Prodigy last appeared at Creamfields in 2013 and will return to the festival with their renowned live show inside APEX, one of the biggest indoor festival stages in the world.
For more than three decades, Liam Howlett and Maxim have taken The Prodigy around the globe, joined on stage by long-standing live members Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar.
Known for combining electronic music, rave and punk, the band have produced some of the biggest tracks in dance music history, including Firestarter, Breathe and Out of Space.
Their landmark album The Fat of the Land will also celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027, giving their Creamfields appearance added significance.
Released in 1997, the multi-platinum album helped cement The Prodigy as one of the world’s most influential electronic acts.
Their return follows a huge 2026 edition of Creamfields, which welcomed a sold-out crowd of 80,000 festivalgoers.
Creamfields began in Winchester in 1998 before establishing its home in Cheshire and becoming one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, attracting major international DJs and live acts each August Bank Holiday weekend.
The 2027 festival will celebrate the artists, fans and memorable moments that have shaped Creamfields over the past three decades, with further acts and anniversary plans still to be announced.
The Prodigy are the first headliner confirmed for the anniversary line-up, with more announcements expected over the coming months.
