Student Roost is once again teaming up with The Zen Project this Mental Health Awareness Week to bring a day full of calm to the city.
Taking place on Monday, 12th May from 12 pm-6 pm, the event will transform Student Roost’s Myrtle Court property into a dedicated wellness space designed to help students relax, reset and prioritise their mental wellbeing during one of the busiest points of this semester.
The activation will feature a day-long programme of guided meditation, breathwork and reset sessions hosted inside a Zen Day bell tent perfect for taking a relaxing breather.
Running throughout the day, the sessions are designed to help students reduce stress, improve focus and create moments of calm.
Guided Sessions and Creative Calm

Students can also take part in Craft & Calm creative wellbeing sessions throughout the day, where they can get hands on at aromatherapy workshops, take part in scented keyring decorating and join in with affirmation-inspired mindful crafting activities.
Following the sessions, the space will remain open as a relaxation zone for students to continue the zen experience throughout the afternoon.
As part of the activities, a specialist Stress Management Workshop will offer practical wellbeing tools, nervous system regulation techniques, guided meditation and mindfulness exercises to help students better manage academic pressure.
The event will also welcome a number of wellbeing-focused partners, including Chasing the Stigma, James’ Club, Student Safety App, the University of Liverpool and the Student Roost wellbeing team.
