On Saturday, November 23rd, Soulside Music Festival will take over Boxpark Liverpool at the Brewery Village in the Baltic Triangle, offering an epic 12 hours of live entertainment featuring music from some of the biggest Soul and Motown artists from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s.

Local legends The Real Thing will perform some of their greatest hits including ‘You to me are everything’, while Odyssey will be bringing their 70’s New York Disco sound with songs like ‘Native New Yorker’ and ‘Back to my roots’. There will also be a live a live performance from Ray Lewis from the Drifters who will perform some of the classic floor-filling hits spanning the decades including ‘Kissing in the back row’ and ‘Come on over to my place’.

Soulside Festival kicks off  at midday with performances from local artists and DJ’s to get the party going. From 3pm there will be a selection of world class tribute artists including Whitney Housten, Barry White, James Brown, Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross. The line up also includes performances from local singer Michael Anthony, Mr Smooth Edi Issac’s, and local legendary DJ Charlie Cee,  until the headline acts take to the stage from 7pm-10pm.

The party doesn’t end there, festival organisers are delighted to have secured skills of local DJ Craig Charles who will close the inaugural festival with a rousing set of Soul and Motown memory evoking classics to round off a spectacular 12 hours of magical music.

With tickets for the all-day event starting at £35 (limited seating and standing room), food stalls including Crazy Pedro’s and Yum Cha and the bars open throughout the day, the festival is a chance to relive a golden era of music that has defined the decades.

Balcony VIP tickets are available (limited seating and poser tables) for £65 each, giving you access to the upper balcony and the best views of the stage, and to guarantee the best seats in the house VIP tables of 8 are available for £720 (these include a £5 drinks voucher and a £5 food voucher for each guest).

Event organiser and host Gary Barker said “We wanted to create an event in Liverpool that reflects and celebrates musical heritage which Liverpool is famous all over the world for and bring a Soul and Motown extravaganza together under one roof.  We have a spectacular line-up in one of the city’s top venues and we look forward to turning the clocks back to a golden era of musical splendour”.

Soulside music festival cannot guarantee you and your friends will be  ‘Dancing on the ceiling’, but you will definitely boogie ‘All night long’ at this show-stopping line-up of Soul and Motown talent, hosted by local singer and former X Factor contestant Gary Barker.
