Host Comedian – Steve N Allen
Steve N Allen stars as a regular member of the news-desk in The Mash Report – BBC2’s BAFTA-nominated topical/satirical comedy show, which launched in 2017. He is also an experienced comedian and host who is at home anywhere on the bill, with a warm and upbeat act that soon connects with any audience. His material ranges from an observational look at life to up-to-date topical comedy, or shows solely based on the interaction with the crowd. As a stand-up, Steve has performed in comedy clubs all across the UK and Europe.
Opening Comedian – Danny Deegan
With the confidence and swagger that you might expect of a North-West comedian at the very top of his game, Danny Deegan is a comedian, writer and actor who has become a regular at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK since he began performing in 2003. Danny’s tales of mischief and the characters he creates have kept audiences all over the country enthralled as he weaves in and out of the people he has met travelling. His talent and likability, coupled with his confidence, make him one of the most popular acts in the North.
Middle Comedian – Stephanie Laing
Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She quickly established herself as one of the most promising acts of her generation on the circuit and appeared as a finalist in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year competition. Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.
Headline Comedian – Paul Pirie
Paul Pirie began his stand-up career in 2006, quickly establishing himself on the Scottish comedy circuit. With a driving force for achievement, Paul worked his way into the London clubs and was launched onto the UK comedy scene, emerging as one of the biggest Scottish acts on the UK comedy circuit. His hilarity and comedic ability have earned him huge popularity with comedy goers and bookers across the world, gigging as far as Australia and for diverse audiences such as the Armed Forces. Paul’s work is superbly individual and, put simply, delivers a refreshing burst of laugh-out-loud comedy that leaves audiences in raptures.
