Liverpool’s landmark summer event, On the Waterfront, returns for its fifth edition next summer, bringing another four days of unforgettable live music to the city’s iconic Pier Head from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st June 2026.
Organisers have confirmed that Snow Patrol will headline the Sunday show, marking the band’s first performance in Liverpool in over a decade.

One of the most successful and beloved alternative rock bands of the past thirty years, Snow Patrol have soundtracked a generation with era-defining anthems such as Chasing Cars, the most played song of the 21st century. Since releasing their debut album Songs for Polarbears in 1998, the band have continued to evolve, with their latest record The Forest Is the Path debuting at Number 1 in the UK charts. The album features singles including All, The Beginning and This Is The Sound Of Your Voice, reaffirming their status as one of Britain’s most important and enduring bands.
Joining Snow Patrol on the line-up are Liverpool indie-rock favourites Circa Waves, along with English-American dream pop trio Sunday (1994).
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the River Mersey and the city’s world-famous Three Graces, On the Waterfront 2026 promises to be a truly special weekend, celebrating world-class live music in one of Liverpool’s most iconic locations.
