Now open in Southport is the brand-new Sinclair’s Bar, Cocktail Lounge & Rooms.
The owners of Sinclair’s, located at 589 Lord Street in the heart of Southport, have expressed their gratitude to everyone who visited during the bustling St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
The renamed Peaky Blinders Bar honours the illustrious histories of whiskey bars and public houses in New York and London and was inspired by Sinclair’s founder, John Sinclair.
A large selection of whiskey and spirits, a new cocktail and wine menu, and a broad selection of cask ales and draft lagers are available to customers. The Cocktail Lounge provides a unique venue for gatherings.
Owner Melanie Sinclair said:
“Thank you for making our launch incredible!
“We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who joined us at the grand opening of Sinclair’s Bar.
“We’re back open and ready for more fun this week. Swing by and experience the best of Sinclair’s Bar. Cheers to good times ahead!”
The location is in the centre of Southport’s “Northern Quarter,” which has seen significant development recently to become the hub for people looking to unwind on a lazy afternoon or have a fun night out.
Sinclair’s provides plenty of indoor seating as well as outdoor tables so that customers can take advantage of a location on the lovely Lord Street boulevard.
The bar’s rebranding, according to Melanie Sinclair, is a fitting tribute to her husband John, who founded the original Peaky Blinders pub in Southport back in 2015. Sadly, he passed away in 2020.
She said:
“With our rebrand, we aim to pay tribute to John, whilst also embracing the timeless traditions of whiskey bars and public houses.
“The bar has undergone a full refurbishment and a new look, and we are very excited to welcome our existing and new customers to this fabulous location on Lord Street.
“We believe that Sinclair’s will not only honour John’s memory, but also provide visitors with an experience that reflects his passion for hospitality and camaraderie.”
Four new jobs in the area have been created as a result of the extensive renovations.
Along with an extensive wine list, Sinclair’s will continue to serve a wide variety of beers on tap and in cask, as well as a new menu of classic cocktails.
