Shrimp & Co opens new Liverpool restaurant on Hanover Street

A fast-growing casual dining brand known for its bold flavours and hands-on seafood experience has opened its first restaurant in Liverpool.

Shrimp & Co opened the doors to its new venue at 50–52 Hanover Street today, Tuesday 21 July, bringing its seafood boils, grilled dishes and sharing platters to the city centre.

Located close to Liverpool ONE, the restaurant is the company’s fifth UK site and its second opening of 2026.

Shrimp & Co is already established in Leicester, Birmingham’s Broad Street and Star City, and Brixton in London.

The brand launched its first three restaurants within just 90 days of each other in 2025, before opening in Brixton earlier this year as part of a second phase of expansion.

Its Liverpool restaurant continues that growth and introduces the company’s interactive dining concept to one of the city centre’s busiest shopping and leisure areas.

Seafood boils remain at the heart of the menu, alongside grilled dishes, combination plates and sharing options designed for groups.

Diners can customise their meals by selecting from a range of sauces and spice levels, creating a personalised and social dining experience.

The company said its focus on flavour, atmosphere and accessibility has helped it attract a growing following across the UK.

Liverpool is the latest step in Shrimp & Co’s plans to expand its presence further across the country and establish itself as a growing name in the casual dining market.
