Popular Liverpool bakery Pastille Bakery is set to expand with a brand-new store in the Baltic Triangle, bringing its handmade pastries, cakes and modern patisserie to another part of the city.
The independent bakery has confirmed it is opening a second Liverpool location in the Baltic Triangle, with the team hoping to welcome customers through the doors during the first week of August.
The new opening will add to Pastille Bakery’s growing reputation across Liverpool, after its original site on Gibraltar Row became a favourite destination for pastry lovers looking for freshly made bakes and speciality treats.
Liverpool bakery expands into the Baltic Triangle
Pastille Bakery has built a loyal following thanks to its modern take on traditional patisserie, with the bakery creating a changing menu of handmade products each week.
Customers at the new Baltic Triangle store can expect to find many of the bakery’s popular favourites, including freshly baked croissants, cruffins, Basque cheesecake, cookies and other seasonal creations.
The bakery’s focus is on producing high-quality pastries and cakes, with the team combining classic techniques with creative flavours to create a unique offering within Liverpool’s independent food scene.
From lockdown project to Liverpool favourite
Pastille Bakery began as a family-run venture during lockdown, with founder Jamie Heffey initially baking from home before selling products at local farmers’ markets.
After gaining experience working with some of the UK’s leading pastry chefs and bakeries, Jamie teamed up with business partner Ricky, who owns local eatery Rocco’s Kitchen, to create a permanent bakery in Liverpool.
The business later opened its Gibraltar Row site, where it quickly gained popularity among Liverpool residents for its artisan approach to baking.
The Baltic Triangle opening will bring Pastille Bakery’s range of sweet and savoury treats to one of Liverpool’s busiest creative districts.
Alongside its pastry selection, the bakery is expected to continue serving speciality coffee and its popular baked goods, with the menu regularly changing to introduce new flavours and seasonal creations.
Pastille Bakery has not yet confirmed an exact opening date, but has said it hopes the new Baltic Triangle store will open during the first week of August.
More details about the new location and opening celebrations are expected to be announced by Pastille Bakery soon.
