Liverpool is set for a dazzling night of sequins, sparkle and spectacular dancefloor performances as Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation brings its Strictly Ballroom fundraiser to the Adelphi Hotel on Saturday 21 November 2026.
Inspired by the glamour and excitement of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, the fundraising event promises an unforgettable evening of ballroom entertainment, delicious food and dancing, all while raising vital funds to support people affected by lung cancer.

Nine local contestants have spent the last six months rehearsing with their dance partners, preparing to take centre stage and impress the judges in the hope of lifting the coveted glitterball trophy.
From salsa to foxtrot, guests can expect an evening filled with dazzling routines, ballroom glamour and plenty of excitement as Liverpool’s very own Strictly stars showcase their moves.
Liverpool’s Strictly Ballroom Fundraiser Promises a Night to Remember
The event will take place at Liverpool’s iconic Adelphi Hotel, bringing together supporters, friends and families for an evening of entertainment in aid of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
Speaking ahead of the fundraiser, Paula Chadwick, Chief Executive of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, said:
“Scousers and sequins go together like salt and pepper! We love any excuse to get dressed up and dance the night away. We want to see as many people as possible supporting our brilliant dancers who have been working so hard to perfect their routines over the last six months, while fundraising to support those affected by lung cancer.
“The audience really makes our Strictly Ballroom event. When the nerves kick in, it’s the cheering and applause on the night that make it all worthwhile. It’s an important fundraising event for us and a great night out with something for everyone.”
Raising Vital Funds for Lung Cancer Support and Research
Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in the UK, with more than 49,000 people diagnosed each year.
Funds raised through events such as Strictly Ballroom help Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation provide essential support to people affected by lung cancer, raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and fund research into improved detection and treatment.
The Foundation remains committed to improving outcomes for people living with lung cancer and ensuring patients and their families can access the information, care and support they need.
By attending the Liverpool fundraiser, guests will not only enjoy a memorable evening but also contribute towards the charity’s important work.
Guests Can Join the Dancefloor at the Post-Show Party
The entertainment doesn’t stop when the contestants take their final bow.
Following the ballroom competition, guests will have the opportunity to take to the dancefloor themselves at a special post-show party.
Whether it’s a girls’ night out, a romantic evening for couples or an opportunity to bring family and friends together, Strictly Ballroom promises something for everyone.
With glamorous performances, a lively atmosphere and the chance to support a worthwhile cause, the event is set to be a highlight of Liverpool’s November fundraising calendar.
