Reel Tours: A Guide to The Oscars

Presenting the good, the bad and the downright ugly of Tinseltown’s most prestigious night will be placed directly under the Reel Tours microscope. A Guide to the Oscars is an engaging, interactive talk that will take audience members on a cinematic journey through the history of the world’s most significant awards in the entertainment industry. From its origins in the 1920’s right up to the latest showstopper night of 2022!

Gary Lunt, founder of Liverpool’s only dedicated Film & TV location tour, Reel Tours (5* on Tripadvisor),presents his latest, filmic-fun-filled show at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre on Saturday 2nd April 2022.

Reel Tours: A Guide to The Oscars

After a SOLD-OUT show of Reel Tours’ debut: A Guide to Christmas Cinema, Gary is back-by-demand, promising a night of excitement, laughter and drama! Together, we will applaud the greatest winners, boo the biggest snubs… perhaps even make time to scrutinize or admire some of the most scandalous shocks and frocks!

Gary appears on the Sean Styles Show Show every Saturday morning as BBC Radio Merseyside’s resident film expert, as well as frequently guesting on other shows. He is an eager visitor of famous and iconic filming locations across the world. His findings are recorded on his popular Youtube channel. His work has been featured in The New York Times. In 2019, he appeared in the prestigious Liverpool Echo list 30 Under 30and Liverpool’s Most Influential People.

Gary said:

“The Oscars is easily the most celebrated night in the movies and its history is as exciting as some of the biggest blockbusters of recent years. Legends have been created at the Academy Awards but truly wondrous films and filmmakers have been forgotten. It’s time to remember them! … Adulation and scandal run hand-in-hand, and I can’t wait discuss both elements and plenty more with this exciting and engaging event!”

Reel Tours: A Guide to the Oscars is on at the Everyman Theatre on Saturday 2nd April at 7pm. Tickets are £10 and available by booking in-person, over the phone on 0151 709 4776 or via the Everyman Theatre’s website: www.everymanplayhouse.com

Or for more information you can contact Gary at Contact@reeltours.co.uk or on 07854 195 057.
