Phoenix Festival reveal first wave of acts for highly anticipated debut event

Phoenix Festival have today revealed the first wave of acts for their highly anticipated debut event, and this announcement is sure to stun music lovers across Merseyside.

The incredible Boy George and Culture Club are set to headline the Saturday night, and they’re accompanied by the much-sought-after Boyzlife on the bill. This will undoubtedly be one of the biggest weekends of music that St Helens has seen – with many more artists still to be announced.

Having sold 50 million records worldwide, Boy George and Culture Club have solidified themselves as being one of the biggest groups to grace the planet. With twelve top 40 singles under their belts, including two number ones – their career has spanned over 40 years and they are still as popular as ever. Currently in ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle, Boy George is a regular figure on our screens and this announcement is sure to delight fans of the programme. Famed for tracks such as ‘Karma Chameleon’, ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’ and ‘Time’ – there’s no doubt that this will be a huge performance for PhoenixFestival attendees and will be sure to go down in St Helens musical history.

Boyband-turned-duo ‘Supergroup’ Boyzlife are also set to take to the mainstage on the Saturday for their debut St Helens performance, and this is sure to go down a treat with former Boyzone and Westlife fans across the region. Comprised of Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy, they’re set to put on a hit-studded performance of their much-loved songs released with their former boyband members, as well as some of their new tracks from their recently released album. Best known for tracks such as ‘Uptown Girl’, ‘Flying Without Wings’ and ‘No Matter What’ – this will be a show that’s not to be missed!

With countless acts still yet to be announced, Phoenix followers will be waiting with baited breath for further artist announcements, and we’re assured that there’s plenty more amazing acts to come from the team. Tickets are set to go on sale at 10am on Friday 11th November via Skiddle.com with a limited number of early birds available at a discounted price – set your alarms!

Phoenix Festival attendees can expect a star studded lineup of multi-platinum selling headliners, with genres covering Indie, Pop, Rock and more, the perfect mix for the ultimate Summer time festival. Multiple stages will span the site, as well as top-tier food and drinks traders to keep you energised and dancing throughout the weekend. There will also be options for day tickets and VIP tickets. This will be a family friendly event with plenty of entertainment on hand for attendees of all ages.

This is a huge new event to come to St Helens, with excitement very-much already stirring amongst locals and those further afield. All eyes are on Phoenix Festival and it’s shaping up to be the go-to festival of 2023.
