EasyJet have continued to grow its platform at Liverpool John Lennon Airport as they have announced a new superb location which customers can fly directly to from August.
A vibrant Spanish city famed for its Moorish architecture and world-famous tapas bars is the latest addition to the summer schedule at the region’s award-winning airport.
EasyJet has confirmed the launch of a new summer route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport with flights to Seville now on sale for summer 2026, with the airline now offering flights to 41 destinations in 18 countries from Liverpool.
The airline’s new service to the Andalusian capital will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, starting on 2nd August, providing customers with even more choice of sunshine destinations direct from Liverpool.
The addition of Seville, celebrated for its flamenco heritage, sun-soaked plazas, iconic orange tree-lined streets and rich festival calendar, offers travellers an ideal choice for both a short city break and a longer summer escape.
Over the past 12 months, easyJet has continued to expand its Liverpool network, and will be adding another aircraft to its base at the airport later this year, taking its Liverpool fleet to 9, enabling even more choice and flexibility for customers booking flights and package holidays across Europe and North Africa.
Strengthening the Regional Flight Network
This expansion is seen as a significant indicator of the local market’s resilience and appetite for Mediterranean travel.
Paul Winfield, LJLA’s Aviation Director, saod:
“We are delighted to welcome another fantastic easyJet route to Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Seville is a stunning cultural destination with strong demand for both outbound leisure travel and inbound tourism.
“EasyJet’s continued growth here at the north west’s Faster, Easier, Friendlier Airport demonstrates the strength of the Liverpool market, and we anticipate this new Seville service will be very popular with travellers across the region.”
The new route aligns with a broader strategy to increase the variety of short-haul options available to passengers without the need to travel to larger hub airports.
By offering 41 destinations, the carrier is solidifying its position as a primary operator within the city’s aviation infrastructure.
The scheduled flights on Thursdays and Sundays are specifically designed to cater to both the long-weekend city break market and those looking for more traditional week-long summer holidays.
Commitment to Growth and Tourism

The airline’s leadership has expressed confidence in the cultural appeal of the new Spanish destination.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK Country Manager, said:
“We’re excited to be adding Seville to our growing network from Liverpool for next summer. Customers now have the opportunity to explore this vibrant Spanish city, and we look forward to welcoming them on board this new route from Liverpool”
As the airport prepares for the 2026 season, the arrival of a ninth-based aircraft later this year suggests that further route announcements may be on the horizon.
This increased capacity allows for greater flexibility in scheduling and supports the growing demand for package holidays managed through the airline’s dedicated holiday division.
For travellers in the North West, the Seville service represents a significant broadening of the cultural and sun-seeking horizons accessible from their local terminal.
