Liverpool’s ever-evolving hip hop scene will be in the spotlight early next year as Africa Oyé teams up with LIMF Academy for TRiBE – a collaborative live showcase celebrating the depth, diversity and creativity of the genre.
Taking place at the iconic Philharmonic Music Room on Saturday 7 February 2026, the event brings together a powerful mix of artists from Liverpool and across the wider City Region, each pushing hip hop forward in their own distinctive way.

The line-up
KOJ – Blending the raw edge of grime with the creativity and eclecticism of UK rap, KOJ delivers authentic, character-driven lyrics that connect instantly with audiences. From schoolyard rap battles to curating his own creative platform through Tribe, KOJ’s vision goes beyond music – he’s building a movement rooted in connection, community and legacy.
Philly D – Known for fusing drill, Afro-swing and Afrobeats with UK rap, Philly D brings a sound shaped by his Ghanaian roots and a deep love of hip hop culture. Writing from a young age, he began sharing his music during the COVID-19 lockdown, drawing inspiration from artists such as J Hus, Kokoroko and Santan Dave, alongside old-school hip hop and Ghanaian highlife.
TEE – A key figure in Liverpool’s flourishing R&B and neo-soul scene, TEE first made his name as a forward-thinking arranger, producer and bass player for acts including MIC Lowry, XamVolo, Sub Blue and Little Grace. He now steps fully into the spotlight with a solo project that channels his emotionally driven pop and R&B into something entirely his own.

Amber Rose – An electrifying Scouse DJ, Amber Rose has quickly become one of the city’s most exciting selectors. Her high-energy, multi-genre sets blend reggae, dancehall, amapiano, UK funky, garage and more. With appearances for Boiler Room and BBC 1Xtra already under her belt – alongside sets at 24 Kitchen Street and across London and Manchester – she’s firmly one to watch.
Bringing together grassroots talent, forward-thinking sounds and one of Liverpool’s most intimate live venues, TRiBE promises a standout night celebrating the city’s hip hop culture in all its forms.
Artistic Director of Africa Oyé, Paul Duhaney said:
“We’ve had some fantastic young local talent on the Africa Oyé stage in recent years through programmes like the L100 Cypher and Positive Impact, so it’s great to be able to showcase more of that talent in such a prestigious Liverpool venue. LIMF Academy are supporting the careers of new and emerging music talent from across the region and we’re thrilled to be teaming up for this event.”
TRiBE feat. KOJ and Friends takes place on Saturday, 7th February 2026 at the Philharmonic Music Room in Liverpool. Tickets are available now via the venue’s website.
