Liverpool Cathedral has achieved another remarkable milestone by winning the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for the second consecutive year, securing its place among the top 10% of listings worldwide.
As the world’s largest travel guidance platform, Tripadvisor’s awards are based entirely on genuine feedback from visitors who share authentic, first-hand reviews. This recognition highlights the Cathedral as one of travellers’ favourite destinations across the globe.
The accolade follows last month’s announcement that Liverpool Cathedral became the first in the UK and Europe, and only the second in the world, to join the Bloomberg Connects App, linking it to a growing network of cultural institutions across Liverpool and beyond.
Such forward-thinking initiatives, combined with a famously warm welcome, continue to inspire outstanding feedback and international recognition.
In a year of celebrations and achievements, this latest award reaffirms Liverpool Cathedral’s enduring appeal and the life-changing experiences it offers visitors from around the world.
The Very Revd Dr Dean Sue Jones, Dean of Liverpool, said:
“I am immensely proud of the way we welcome visitors to our cathedral. The hospitality we extend to people from around the world truly sets us apart, and this is reflected in being awarded the Tripadvisor Traveller’s’ Choice Award for the second year in a row. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to visit and experience our beautiful building because without their support, we would not have achieved a place among the top 10% of attractions worldwide.”
Kristen Dalton, President, Tripadvisor, said:
“Congratulations to Liverpool Cathedral on its recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2025. Ranking among the top percentage of businesses globally means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took time to go online and leave a glowing review about their experience. We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2025 and beyond.”
