To show their appreciation to NHS staff for all their hard work during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Liverpool FC first team players made a sweet small gesture during Easter.
To show their support, the players organised and paid for 200 chocolate hampers to say a massive thank you to NHS staff.
The hampers where delivered to 14 hospitals, across 200 wards around Liverpool, with hampers being delivered by the team bus driver and his team of drivers.
Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold recorded their own videos to say a personal thank you to the staff for all the work they’ve been doing during this difficult time.
NHS staff also shared videos of appreciation to say thank you for the lovely kind gesture from the players.
Liverpool FC captain Jordan Henderson was recently in the news, after information was brought to light of the skipper organising a Premier League coronavirus fund for the NHS.
Sources close to the player said that he simply wanted to use what influence he has to support NHS workers as well as the wider community.
