Watch as Jürgen Klopp opens up about his favourite LFC moments, his greatest lessons, and the advice he’ll take with him in the first of a new series, “The Reds Roundtable”, produced with LFC principal partner, Standard Chartered.
Set amongst the backdrop of St George’s Hall in Liverpool, the Reds boss is joined for the intimate chat by assistant manager Pep Ljinders, Academy Director Alex Inglethorpe and senior players Harvey Elliott and Cody Gakpo.
In a must watch for fans, when Jürgen was asked for his favourite moment, he says: “Barcelona. It’s difficult to replace because there was no chance and we did it anyway. It’s such a good example for what is possible in football. It doesn’t mean it’s likely to happen but it’s possible and that’s really enough to know there’s a chance. The corner. It’s the most ridiculous football moment I’ve ever witnessed.”
Meanwhile, Pep reveals his happiness at working alongside a manager that changed the club and is leaving a legacy. The players talk about their development from skinny youngsters to worldclass players, and Alex admits his surprise at the dramatic rise of some of the academy players to the men’s first team.
The series concentrates on the themes of championing potential, resilience, ambition, and building a legacy, and will provide incredible insights from inside the game.
The content is also available in Spanish, a first for the club working alongside a partner.
