Cult dessert sensation and student favourite Insomnia Cookies is set to sweeten up Liverpool City Centre this December, as the US-born brand brings its famous late-night treats to Slater Street.
On opening day on Saturday 13th December from 2:00pm, Liverpool locals are invited to join the celebrations, with special guests The Queen of Scotty Road and Michael Aldag making an appearance. One lucky superfan who claims the first spot in the queue will snag a whole year’s supply of cookies, while the next 50 arrivals will walk away with free Insomnia merch. Everyone else can enjoy a complimentary warm cookie and the chance to win a host of prizes throughout the event.

A firm favourite across the pond for delivering warm, fresh cookies until the early hours, Insomnia Cookies has already earned a loyal UK following in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham and Bristol. Its menu is packed with indulgent flavours, from the iconic Chocolate Chunk (#ChunksNotChips) to Reese’s Peanut Butter and Biscoff.
The bakery is also known for its rotating seasonal specials, including the limited-edition Bueno Deluxe Cookie, baked with rich cookie dough, swirled with creamy hazelnut filling and topped with crisp wafer pieces. These sit alongside fan favourites such as the Cookie’wich (two scoops of ice cream nestled between two warm cookies), cookie shakes, cookie cakes, brownies, ice cream and more.
For night owls and sweet-toothed students, Insomnia’s delivery drivers will be dropping warm, freshly baked treats to your door right through until 3am. Customers can even build their own personalised box of flavours for the ultimate late-night fix.

Opening on 13th December, the new Slater Street bakery will join the brand’s growing UK line-up and stay open daily until 3am.
Founded in 2003 by college student Seth Berkowitz, who dreamed up the concept while craving late-night snacks, Insomnia Cookies has grown from a dorm-room idea into a global cult favourite with more than 350 bakeries across North America. The Liverpool opening marks the brand’s continued UK expansion, adding to its existing stores across Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham and Bristol.
Millie Ralston, Head of Marketing at Insomnia Cookies commented:
