Owner Prakash Shahi said:

“It’s a great honour to receive this latest accolade and indeed all of our recognition these past few years, but the best thing about it all is the kind reviews from our customers. We take great pride in top quality cuisine and great service so it means the world to us to see this reflected in customer testimonials.”

One customer commented: “Great Himalayas exceeded all my expectations with their outstanding Nepalese cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made me feel at home. The flavours and aromas of the dishes took me on an unforgettable journey to Nepal. Each bite was a burst of authentic spices and perfectly balanced flavours. I highly recommend this place!”

Another said: “Went here last night for my birthday meal. It was our first time here, but it won’t be the last. The staff were very friendly and polite. The cost was very reasonable for what we had to eat and drink. The night was made even better when an ex England and Liverpool FC footballing legend and his family sat at the next table.”

Nepalese cuisine has grown in popularity in recent years, with an increasing number of restaurants opening in the North West. Menus are typically extensive, with a mix of classic Indian dishes and unique, flavorful Nepalese specialties, and MoMos (dumplings) have proven popular with British diners.

Prakash summarised:

“Nepalese cuisine brings lots of flavour, colour and spices — it is a great honour to be part of the Nepalese restaurant revolution and introduce British people to the delights of our country. The latest recognition from Trip Advisor has given us even more inspiration to keep providing quality cuisine and great service to our lovely customers old and new.”
