Frankley’s Bakery is giving Liverpool park-goers something warming to look forward to this autumn, with hot bacon and sausage barms now being served from its popular Sefton Park trailer.

The distinctive trailer, located close to the boating lake, is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 5pm and has become a popular stop for visitors looking for freshly baked treats, artisan breads and hot and cold drinks.

Now Frankley’s has fired up the grill too, adding freshly cooked bacon and sausage barms to its weekend menu.

Customers can choose bacon, sausage or a combination of both, served on a choice of Frankley’s own breads including sourdough and brioche.

Whether it is fuel for an early morning walk, a post-run treat or simply a warming breakfast in the park, the new addition brings a classic breakfast favourite to the heart of Sefton Park.

While the fillings are kept reassuringly simple, the bread gives the barms Frankley’s signature twist.

The artisan breads are made by the bakery team at its dedicated production facility at The Wheelbarrow on Greenbank Lane before making the short journey to the Sefton Park trailer.

Alongside the new breakfast menu, visitors can pick up a changing selection of Frankley’s favourites to take home, including sourdough, focaccia, baguettes and brioche, as well as croissants, pastries, cakes and other sweet treats.

The latest addition comes as Frankley’s Bakery continues to grow following its launch earlier this year and an investment of more than £100,000 in specialist equipment, production facilities and an experienced bakery team.

Named after owners’ much-loved Dogue de Bordeaux dogs, Frank and Stanley, Frankley’s products are also served across sister venues The Watering Can and The Wheelbarrow.

“After such a hot summer, you can really feel the change in the mornings, so it seemed like the perfect time to get the grill going.

“There aren’t many things better than a really good bacon or sausage barm, especially when it’s served on bread made by our own bakers just down the road.

“The trailer is all about becoming part of people’s Sefton Park routine. You can grab breakfast and a coffee, pick up a freshly baked loaf to take home or treat yourself to something sweet. It’s simple, tasty and exactly what you want on an autumn morning in the park.”

The new menu marks the start of Frankley’s Bakery’s autumn season, with more seasonal treats expected to follow over the coming months.

So whether it is a weekend walk, a run around the park, taking the dog out or simply an excuse for some fresh air, there is now another reason to head to Sefton Park.
