Four arts projects across Liverpool will receive a share of £30k worth of funding from Liverpool BID Company’s Arts & Culture Fund. They include an exhibition at the Bluecoat on retail, Katumba’s Halloween Parade, Liverpool Art Fair and a new architecture digital tour by The Modernist Society CIC.
Established by Liverpool BID Company, the Arts & Culture Fund is designed to support smaller arts projects that will help drive footfall, activity and animation within Liverpool city centre. This latest round of funding for Summer 2025 will see arts and cultural activity within the city.

The beneficiaries and successful projects include;
An exhibition called Just Browsing at the Bluecoat which is designed on the retail experience
Liverpool Art Fair, delivered by dot-art
Katumba Drumming & Movement for their Halloween Parade in the city centre
A new app by The Modernist Society, which acts as a digital guide to explore the city’s architecture on foot
Julie Johnson is Chair of Liverpool’s BID Company’s Culture & Commerce BID said:
“We had almost 20 submissions to go through at this round which really shows the enthusiasm and need for this fund. Art and culture adds animation and activity to our high streets and public squares. It helps to boost footfall, bringing people onto high streets and encouraging them to visit the great businesses in the city centre. It also draws people into the city, letting them enjoy the vibrancy and breadth of our cultural sector, but it also helps this vital industry in our city stay viable, relevant and engaging in public spaces”.
We had some incredible submissions to our fund, which is now in its second year. Our specific remit is to support those projects that are smaller and will have real benefit to the city. Our arts and culture sector is such a vibrant aspect of life in this city and we see that it brings a great benefit, not just to participants and audiences, but the wider city economy.”
Lucy Byrne is from dot-art, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to receive support from the Liverpool BID Company’s Arts and Culture Fund for Liverpool Art Fair 2025. This backing is invaluable in helping us continue our mission to make art accessible to everyone while showcasing the incredible talent of artists from across the region. The BID’s continued support demonstrates their commitment to fostering the arts community that makes Liverpool such a vibrant cultural destination.”
