Sweater season is upon us.

When somebody says Autumn 3 things come to mind: warm colours, leaves falling and pumpkin spiced latte’s. AW18 is no different except with a few twists.

This season brown is the new black.

Animal prints are everywhere. Now, I know animal prints never really go out of style but this season they are huge. Leopard, snakeskin, cheetah and even zebra.

Following on from brown the bohemian 70’s theme is back. Free flowing long sleeved dresses, flared pants co-ords and cut out white dresses.

There also seems to be a hint of neon remaining into AW18. All black assembles and neon accessories such as pouches, belts or socks.

My go-to autumn look is currently a chunky knit, a pleated midi skirt and white boots. White boots are so universal and popping up everywhere.

Layers have always been an autumn trend but oversized scarves and capes will be a staple piece this year. Perfect to stay cosy on a cute trip out for bonfire night.

As for evening looks futuristic silver was seen on all the catwalks. From a 2 piece tailored suit or a baggy pyjama’s impersonating set, anything in silver is sure to stand out but these styles will still keep you warm.

My day jewellery choices would be a pendant necklace, ear studs and a simple ear cuff.

I have always bought all jewellery in silver and listened to the old wives’ tale of ‘don’t mix your metals’ but I’m loving gold at the minute. Who said we can’t mix our metals?

For a night jewellery look go all out with jewels, embellishment and crystals. Also a really interesting style for ear jewels is wearing each ear different, one with a stud and one with an over the top statement earring.

Just because we have to wrap up doesn’t mean we have to lose our sense of style.

Keep looking pretty.
