Young Evertonians and their families enjoyed a special treat this week as they watched their heroes train at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The open training session for the Men’s Senior Team was a major highlight of Junior Fan Takeover Week, an initiative that throws open the doors of the club’s new home to supporters aged 16 and under.
During the session, David Moyes put the players through their paces, offering watching fans a fascinating insight into the intense preparation required for a Premier League matchday.
The week-long event coincides with the school holidays, transforming the stadium into a hub of activity designed to give the next generation of supporters a fresh and exciting way to connect with the club.
Interactive Fun at the Creative Corner and Game Zone

Trinity Place Café, located in the East Stand, has been reimagined as the Creative Corner, hosting daily interactive sessions between 10 am and 4 pm.
Young fans can get hands-on with arts and crafts, face painting, and balloon modelling.
A standout feature is the special kit design studio, where junior supporters can step into the role of a designer to create their own Everton-inspired shirts.
For those looking for a bit of competition, the space also features a dedicated Game Zone.
Supporters can test their skills in foosball challenges and various mini competitions with the chance to win prizes.
Meanwhile, qualified coaches from Everton in the Community are delivering football challenges and skills sessions outdoors in The Plaza and within the East Stand concourse from Wednesday to Friday.
Behind the Scenes With Mini Tunnel Tours

One of the most sought-after experiences of the week is the family-friendly Mini Tunnel Tour.
These tours are specifically designed for younger fans, featuring less walking and more interactive moments.
Participants have the rare opportunity to feel the rumble of the sirens and Z-Cars, sit in David Moyes’ seat in the dugout, and even pose in the official press conference chair.
Experience culminates with a walk through the new players’ tunnel, allowing young Blues to follow in the footsteps of the first-team squad.
While most takeover activities are free of charge, the Mini Tunnel Tours are ticketed and require advance booking.
Limited availability remains for the final sessions on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Trading Cards and Stadium Experiences

On Thursday, between 12 pm and 2 pm, the Trinity Place Café will host a Football Trading Card Swap Shop.
This friendly environment allows young collectors to meet fellow fans, trade duplicates, and track down the missing pieces of their collections.
It is an ideal opportunity for fans to share their excitement for the game while building their hobby.
With a variety of food and refreshments available throughout the week, Junior Fan Takeover Week is set to be a memorable experience for families.
By combining professional football insights with creative and play-based activities, the club continues to ensure its new waterfront home is a welcoming environment for the fans of the future.
