As the school holidays come around again, Mersey Ferries have just what you need for a fun day out this half term.

The ever-popular River Explorer Cruise sails everyday throughout February Half Term, with cruises departing from Liverpool Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal (Pier Head) on the hour and Seacombe Ferry Terminal at twenty past the hour (10am-4:20pm Monday to Friday, 10am-4:20pm, Saturday and Sunday).

Guided by fascinating commentary throughout the 50-minute trip, a River Explorer Cruise offers passengers unrivalled views of Liverpool and Wirral’s world-famous waterfront and is the perfect family friendly day out. Don’t forget you can hop off at either one of the ferry terminals during your cruise, Liverpool Gerry Marsden (Pier Head) or Seacombe, and go exploring?

Hop off the ferry at Liverpool Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal (Pier Head) and get ready to explore Liverpool’s fascinating architecture and history. Only a short walk from the terminal are two world-class museums: the Museum of Liverpool and the Maritime Museum where you can learn about Liverpool’s incredible history and seafaring past.

The Royal Albert Dock is just around the corner from Liverpool Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal and is a great place to shop, dine and take in the sights. Here you can also visit the award winning The Beatles Story, which is the world’s largest permanent exhibition purely devoted to telling the story of the lives and times of The Beatles and with our new River Explorer Cruise & The Beatles Story combination ticket you can experience two iconic Liverpool attractions and save at the same time

At Seacombe Ferry Terminal, you will find the newly opened Eureka! Science + Discovery visitor attraction. Why not make a day of your trip on the ferry and explore how Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics influence and shape our lives – connecting the everyday with the extraordinary. To enjoy Wirral’s newest attraction book tickets in advance on the Eureka! Science + Discovery website and enjoy a 20% discount on River Explorer Cruise tickets with every valid Eureka! Science + Discovery ticket.

With all this and lots more to do on both sides of the river the ferry is the best way to see and experience Liverpool and Wirral with the kids at any age.
