The airline has expanded its Liverpool base while launching direct flights to Seville and Naples.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is celebrating the arrival of easyJet’s ninth based aircraft, marking another milestone in the airline’s continued expansion in the North West.

The 186-seat Airbus A320 will enable easyJet to increase capacity, improve operational resilience and offer passengers across the region greater choice and connectivity.
Its arrival also supports hundreds of direct and indirect jobs linked to the airline’s operations at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The expansion coincides with the launch of easyJet’s first flights from Liverpool to Seville and Naples, giving passengers direct access to two popular southern European destinations.
Seville is renowned for its historic streets, architecture, tapas and year-round sunshine, while Naples offers famous cuisine, a vibrant city centre and easy access to destinations including the Amalfi Coast.
The new services provide passengers with additional options for both city breaks and longer holidays.
The ninth aircraft represents further investment by easyJet in Liverpool and the wider North West as demand for flights and package holidays from the region continues to grow.
Paul Winfield, Director of Aviation Development at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, commented:
“The arrival of easyJet’s ninth based aircraft at Liverpool John Lennon Airport is another significant milestone in our long-standing partnership and demonstrates the airline’s continued confidence in Liverpool and the wider North West market.”
“The launch of new routes to Seville and Naples further strengthens the range of destinations available to our passengers and provides even greater choice for both leisure travellers and those visiting friends and family.”
“We are delighted to celebrate these important developments with easyJet and look forward to continuing to work together to provide even more opportunities for customers travelling through Liverpool John Lennon Airport.”
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, added:
“We are delighted to be celebrating the arrival of our ninth aircraft at Liverpool, alongside the launch of our inaugural flights to Seville and Naples.
“These exciting new routes provide customers across the North West with even more choice and direct access to two fantastic destinations, whether they’re looking to explore Seville’s rich history and culture or experience Naples’ incredible food, coastline and proximity to some of Italy’s most iconic attractions.”
“The arrival of an additional aircraft demonstrates our long-term commitment to Liverpool and the region. We continue to see strong demand for both flights and package holidays, and we’re pleased to be providing greater connectivity, supporting jobs and making travel even more accessible for our customers.”
