Award-winning independent coffee roaster Crosby Coffee is set to open a new venue in Southport town centre as part of the Eastbank development.
The Sefton business will take over the dedicated food and drink space on the ground floor of Eastbank, also known as the Enterprise Arcade, on Eastbank Street.
Crosby Coffee already operates venues in Crosby and Hightown and supplies coffee to cafés, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality businesses across the region.
Its arrival is the latest investment at Eastbank, which opened in June 2025 as a hub for creative and digital businesses in Southport town centre.
The development provides workspace and modern facilities for entrepreneurs, start-ups and growing businesses and forms part of Sefton Council’s wider investment in Southport’s Market Quarter.
Facilities include flexible business and co-working spaces as well as a podcast and multimedia studio, which has already welcomed guests including former world champion boxer Tony Bellew and former Everton footballer Leon Osman.
Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills, said:
“This is another important milestone for Eastbank and a real vote of confidence in what we are creating in the heart of Southport.
“Our ambition has always been for Eastbank to be an environment where businesses want to set up, entrepreneurs can grow and the private sector sees opportunities to invest.
“Crosby Coffee are a fantastic example of a successful independent Sefton business which has grown an incredibly strong reputation across the North West and we are delighted they have chosen Eastbank for their latest venture.
“Their investment also adds to a much bigger picture. Significant regeneration is taking place across Southport and we are increasingly seeing businesses recognise the opportunities that this investment is creating.
“From Eastbank and the wider Market Quarter to our ambitious plans for Town Hall Gardens and other major developments across the town, we are working to create the conditions that encourage further private investment, support local businesses and give people even more reasons to spend time in Southport.”
Crosby Coffee’s decision to take on the commercial unit is being viewed as another sign of private sector investment in Southport town centre.

The announcement comes as plans also progress for the transformation of the nearby Town Hall Gardens.
Sefton Council recently revealed the latest proposals for the £10 million project, which is currently undergoing a second stage of public consultation.
Plans include botanical gardens alongside new performance and family spaces inspired by Southport’s history and character.
A planning application is expected to be submitted later this year following the consultation.
If approved, the scheme would transform the historic gardens into a multi-use public space for residents and visitors as part of wider regeneration work taking place across Southport town centre.
