After the success of the 2020 Liverpool tractor run visiting Alder Hey Children’s Hospital & Fans Supporting Food Banks, Ollie Harrison and his team of tractor drivers took to the streets of Liverpool in December 2021 to raise vital funds again.
The event which took place on Sunday 19th December, came back bigger and better smashing the previous year’s fundraising amount (£43k with gift aid) managing to raise over 65K.
The three hour Tractor convoy lit up the streets of the city, in aid of raising funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, as well as provide food for food banks.
The vehicles which were festively decorated in lights and tinsel, seen thousands take to the streets of Liverpool to cheer and wave the festive farmers on along their journey.
The founder of the Christmas tractor convoy local farmer Olly Harrison was inspired by a similar event that took place on the Isle of Man, and wanted to bring something similar to the city while raising vital funds and awareness for both Alder Hey Children’s Hospital & Fans Supporting Food Banks.
The Tractors Lit up event aimed to raise £50,000 for Alder Hey smashed it target, while also seeing the convoy take donations to Fans Supporting Food Banks in Stanley Park.
