Experienced North West property auction specialist Cathy has returned to Liverpool-based Venmore Auctions, 18 years after leaving the business where she first began her career.
With 38 years of experience in the property auction industry, Cathy is returning to her professional roots to lead the Venmore Auctions team and support the continued growth of one of Liverpool’s longest-established property businesses.
Cathy first joined Venmore Auctions 38 years ago, quickly building a loyal following of clients and establishing a strong reputation within the North West property market.
After spending 20 years with the company, she moved to a rival auction house as Auction Director, where she continued to develop her expertise and relationships with buyers and vendors across the region.
However, following changes in ownership and the increasing influence of corporate management, Cathy decided the time was right to return to the independent auction house where her career began.
Speaking about her return, Cathy said:
“After ten years the business was bought by one of the high street corporate agents. The last eight years the structure changed to become less personal with decisions being made by Head Office which didn’t always reflect the local market conditions.
“I was starting to lose the passion that I always had for the industry and decided to change course and return to where it all began.”
Her return to Venmore Auctions marks a new chapter in a career spanning almost four decades, with Cathy looking forward to reconnecting with former clients and bringing her extensive industry knowledge back to the business.
She added:
“I am so excited to return to Venmore Auctions, I’m loving the opportunity and I’m looking forward to spending the remainder of my career back where I fell in love with the industry.
“I’ve been overwhelmed already with the very positive response from all my past clients, it’s all very humbling.”
