Liverpool’s nightlife scene is set for a major shake-up as a brand-new nightclub called Campus prepares to open in the former OMG venue on Victoria Street.
The new venue will take over the popular Pride Quarter location, bringing a fresh identity to a site that has been a familiar part of Liverpool’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene for years.
Campus has been created by GBar owner Amy Gwynn, who is behind some of the city’s best-known LGBTQ+ venues, with the new nightclub aiming to build on the legacy of OMG while introducing a new experience for visitors.
The venue will officially launch ahead of Liverpool Pride, with organisers promising a new destination for nights out featuring entertainment, music and a welcoming atmosphere for the city’s LGBTQ+ community and visitors.
Inspired by the feeling of house parties and kitchen discos, Campus will focus on creating a social nightlife experience with different areas, entertainment and themed events throughout the week.
Campus a New Addition to Liverpool’s Pride Quarter
The venue will feature a mix of resident DJs, drag performances and club nights, continuing the tradition of live entertainment that made OMG a popular destination for Liverpool’s nightlife crowds.
Campus will also retain links to the performers who helped establish the venue’s reputation, with drag entertainment remaining a key part of the nightclub’s offering.
The arrival of Campus comes as Liverpool’s Pride Quarter continues to evolve, with new venues and experiences adding to one of the UK’s most recognised LGBTQ+ nightlife destinations.
The former OMG site has long been a meeting point for the city’s LGBTQ+ community, and Campus will look to create a new chapter for the Victoria Street venue while keeping the focus on inclusivity, entertainment and bringing people together.
Ahead of its opening, more details are expected to be announced around the launch event, entertainment line-up and weekly programme of events.
